What is this year’s theme?

This year’s theme for World Food Day is “Leave no one behind.” The last few years have brought unforeseen global challenges, including disruption in the normal food supply. Even in a normal year, millions of people around the world cannot afford a healthy diet. This puts them at risk for food insecurity and malnutrition. Enough food is produced today to feed everyone on the planet. There exists challenges with access and getting food to those in need. This year’s theme brings attention to helping those in need, leaving no one behind. Big challenges, like food security, require collaboration and global solutions.
